Student Loads


The academic year is divided into semesters of 18 weeks each, and summer of 6 weeks. The maximum academic load in a regular semester of full-time students is as pescribed in their specific curriculum. For summer, students may take nine (9) units. As a rule, no student is allowed to carry an overload, except for graduating students, who may be allowed additional subject loads of not more than six (6) academic units in excess of the normal load in a school term as prescribed by the institution. Provisions for specific academic programs are defined in VPAA Memo No. 11,s.2012.
