POPE FRANCIS TO THE FILIPINO YOUTH: Don’t Make Yourself a Museum of Information
The speech of Pope Francis in his encounter with Filipino youth at University of Santo Tomas, Manila last January 18,2015 has a lot of lessons to ponder for the youth. One of the many points he mentioned is on the overflowing information brought by internet which affect the life of the people, especially the young generation. He took a positive attitude on it when he said that ‘information in itself is not bad, and there is something good we can get out of it.” However the danger may occur, according to Pope Francis when we don’t know what to do with those information and end up becoming like a museum which has everything, but has not done anything to use it.
In order that we can let the information bear fruit, we need to process them and allow them to flow from our mind, to the heart, and finally to the hand.
